A mind like flypaper!

I know I've mentioned before that I have an affinity for trivia. It seems like a good 75% of the facts that get thrown in my brain just stick there waiting for an opportunity to regurgitate them. Today in the break room one of the ladies was reading something off her phone. It started with Memorial Day facts and somehow segued into a quiz on WWII aimed at me. Now history is a particular passion of mine but mostly what came before 1920 (it used to be before 1900 but it's been creeping forward). WWII has never been an interest of mine so I was surprised to get 14 out of 15 questions right. They were multiple answer questions and I did guess at a couple but I'm still pleased with myself. Especially when a couple of minutes later I was stashing my lunch bag back into the fridge and one of the younger guys who was brought on in the last couple of months said 'That was impressive.' I know I drew a totally blank look and said 'What?' like a total nimrod. He said, 'The quiz and all the answers you knew.' Well, I felt pretty chuffed. I just wish I could find someone to play Trivia Pursuit with me.
