I realized I haven't done this in over a week so here goes!
Remember, these are some of my favorites from those years. Not necessarily my favorites during that year and not necessarily the best, just memorable ones for me that I take the opportunity to watch when they come around.
1970: Airport
Honorable Mention: M*A*S*H. On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. Two Mules for Sister Sara.
1971: Billy Jack I haven't seen this in a long time. I know it'll be quite dated and it was pretty low buget but I really want to watch it again and see if it'll stand the test of time.
Honorable Mention: Andromeda Strain. Brian's Song. Two Lane Blacktop.
1972: Jeremiah Johnson This goes back to my love for westerns that are more true to life than the usual.
Honorable Mention: This was a big year for westerns for me: The Cowboys. Red Sun (I used to have a pretty big Charles Bronson crush and this is one of the movies I have a yen to rework for SPN Cinema. Ulzana's Raid. Silent Running. Cabaret - this was a pretty close run for favorite.
1973: The Way We Were Hollywood during the early years has always held a fascination for me.
Honorable Mention: Enter the Dragon. Exorcist. Godspell (I love the music!). Papillon. Sting. Three Musketeers.
1974: Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
Honorable Mention: Young Frankenstein. This was apparently a pretty dry year for me in terms of favorite movies.
Well, I work tomorrow but I get to sleep in until 4 am! I was going to stay up and watch Supernatural but it's a rerun so I think I'll just retire and read myself to sleep. That is until the damned leg cramps eject me from bed 3-4 times tonight. Since they have the last two nights I don't see how this one will be any different. And that reminds me, I had another weird-ass dream last night! For some reason I was driving around a shopping mall (and going in) dressed in some kind of short, frilly, green checked skirt, black tights and an orange shirt that was unbuttoned down the front - and nothing else. Now, anyone who's seen me knows that's not a good look for me. o.O Well truthfully, is it a good look for anyone? And even stranger? I kept looking for a pair of warm gloves to buy. If it was cold enough to need gloves what was I doing wandering around with my bodacious ta-tas hanging in the wind?
