I don't listen to the radio that often. It's mostly a 'car' thing for me and for the last few years I'm in the car only about 30 minutes a day. But I do listen to a great radio station -
Alice 102.1 It's a nice mix of Top 40, Classic Rock and Alternative Rock. I listen to music at home though it's my CDs and what I've collected on my hard drive - like these songs.
So songs that might be familiar to others are brand new to me. Thank the internet goddess for YouTube. It's not just a place to lose track of time in funny animal videos and fan vids, it's a place for me to track down that illusive song I only heard that once, but really liked, and from which I managed to retain a portion of the lyrics.
Luckily not only do I like the music and lyrics and vocals of these songs, I also enjoy the videos.
Let's start off with Vicci Martinez - Come Along featuring Cee-Lo Green. It's a (very slight) remix of a song by Titiyo, but it's different enough. Vicci heard Titiyo's version and loved it so much she asked permission to make her own. I like the energy of Vicci's more. I heard the song this last summer on the way home from work. I didn't catch all of the song or the artist's name but it caught my attention and was still fairly easy to track down.

This next one I didn't hear in the car. The radio alarm woke me up with it one morning. I caught it just at the beginning but not early enough to hear the artist. Strangely I haven't heard anything else by them that I really like that well, but I'm sure you know that happens. Both the song and the video are quite haunting. The One Who Got Away by Civil Wars.

This one I not only heard from the beginning I caught the artist's name because the DJ really likes and considers them to be an up and comer. I love the lyrics, I love the music, the lead singer has a gorgeous voice and I love the video. There's just something about singing this song that makes me feel joyous and hopeful.
