A little bit of Betty to liven things up
Well, I had intended to go to work today - fixed my lunch and laid out my clothes and prepped for breakfast this morning - but after a truly crappy night's sleep and a back that still feels wonky I decided to take advantage of the fact that one more day wouldn't earn me any more points at work and since it's on another pay period it won't have such an impact. Plus since it's the beginning of my week I can make up a little of the time over the week if I feel up to it.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do if I get to work tomorrow and it just gets worse. I guess I'll find out if the closest branch of Truman Medical Center (county hospital) has a clinic like the one I used to go to down on hospital hill. I might make too much money to take advantage of it but I sure as hell can't afford a private doctor since I have no insurance. Next time insurance is available for me I'll take advantage of it, but when I was promoted I just had too many bills to catch up on to be able to afford it.
I haven't seen any hummingbirds yet today. They might have decided to take advantage of the lighter traffic on an early Sunday morning and take off for Central America instead of waiting for the rush later on. *G* Can't say I blame them, it got down into the low 40s last night and even though it's supposed to get up into the low 80s later this week, it's still supposed to drop down low at night. And this is migration time. But just in case there are stragglers I'll keep the feeder charged for another few weeks. The temperature might be dropping but the trees haven't begun to turn yet.
So I'll take advantage of another day at home and write 3 more words on my story. OMG it's like pulling teeth even though my mind has the thing all plotted out. *headdesk*
Oh! Time to make that Pork, Barley and Kale Soup!
