What a craptastic and unrestful night

If I wasn't having to jump in and out of bed with leg cramps I was flipping sheets/covers off and on with an inability to regulate my body temperature. *headdesk*

During my 5 days off the weather was perfect, nice and cool at night (actually chilly in the early morning), absolutely perfect. Well, the weather is still lovely, so that's not it, although we did have rain yesterday so the humidity is up, but still, really nice.

I've only worked 2 days and my body feels like it's been a month. I'm having one of my achy-all-over and muscle cramp times.

Since the nasty hot weather broke almost a month ago I've switched my plasma appointments to my days off. Before I just didn't want to get out of the a/c but now I use those appointments - usually at 10-10:30 am as an excuse to get up and out of the house fairly early in the day instead of just sloughing off my whole day off. Today I rescheduled my appointment to noon to give myself time to work out my muscles. I had a leg cramp once during a plasma appointment and I don't want to do that again.

After the appointment I'm making a trip to the library to pick up some books I ordered and then making a stop by Price Chopper for some fruit. This is apple season! And most of the stores have crap choices and they all seem to be from Chile! Screw that. Price Chopper has some great and unusual choices. Ginger-Gold! So yummy. I don't care for Golden Delicious because they're too sweet without any tang and a soft, mealy texture. Ginger-Gold are sweet with a tangy twist and are nice and crisp. I'll see what else they have on hand. Their Starkcrimson pears are kickin', too.

Then this afternoon...writing! I'm tying my ass to the computer and I'm making sure the internet is disconnected so I can minimize the distractions, because the writing? She's not going so well. And I refuse to default on my claims at spn_cinema.

Also tonight, Spanish Chicken Stew with chicken, Spanish chorizo, pequillo peppers, lots of garlic and a red Spanish Riojo wine I picked up, spooned over a creamy Spanish Manchego cheese polenta. I don't have the money to travel so I let my palate and tummy do the traveling for me.

Also, for breakfast for the next few days I've re-discovered my breakfast souffle - broccoli, ham cubes, cheese and cottage cheese (yes, don't turn up your nose, it's great) with eggs. Flavored with horseradish and a little dry mustard and baked in a casserole. It warms up beautifully and quickly in the morning. There's also a simple breakfast custard - basically sweetened eggs and half & half that I'm going to dry adding blueberries to. Sounds yummy.

Talking about good food makes up for the crappy night of 'not' sleep. But today's going to have perfect weather and I'm going to make the most of it.

Have a good one!

food, muscle cramps, poor pitiful me, weather
