Can someone explain it to me?
I've never really followed the arguments and battles against the concept of the Archive of Our Own (AO3) and now I understand that many people are not happy that the Yuletide archive is moving there.
I've gone through a couple of linked posts but the subject seems to require previous knowledge of the situation to really be understood and I don't have the time to do that much wading. So can someone please explain to me - in broad terms - the main reason(s) why people object to AO3? Or maybe it's just having their work housed there? Illumination would be much appreciated.
