I woke up early this morning so I laid down around 11:00 am to read and for a little nap and had the weirdest dreams.
In the first I went late at night to a grocery store salad bar where they put your salad together (like Subway). They were beginning to close so I asked for one with just a little of everything, gave the guy a $20 and when I got my salad it was pretty pathetic and he only gave me a handful of coins in change. I was upset over the salad and the change (he said I only gave him $10 but still!). I demanded to see the manager and have the drawer counted before I left. Somehow I fell asleep on a bed next to the salad bar and when I woke up I was very confused and I was naked under the covers and alone and the clothes I had to put back on were the tee shirt and flannel pants I wear at home. In my shoes (a pair of pointy toed black patent leather flats that I've never had) there was a cash register receipt showing that the drawer was actually $2 short and I'd be billed. I slunk out the side door and around to my car. (Yeah, I know, money problems sneaking into my dream world in bizarre ways with a side helping of confusion and embarrassment.)
In the second dream I was excited about moving into a new apartment and then when I got into bathroom I realized the shower was this long, narrow tiled thing that I'd have to stand sideways in and I thought there was no sink but found a little thing about the size of a dinner plate jammed in the corner, hanging half above the toilet with one of those sensor driven faucets. There was this absolutely huge dirty clothes hamper that was mostly below the floor level and it was stuffed with crap from the last tenant. I seemed to spend the majority of that dream pulling other peoples dirty clothes and inflatable animals - like a child would have in a pool - out and deflating them and stuffing all into bags. This dream I have no idea how to interpret.
You know? I want to go back to not remembering my dreams if this is what's on offer.
On the plus side, that nasty listless, vaguely depressed feeling from last night is almost gone. Now it's more like the tail end of a hangover. Or actually what I understand a hangover is supposed to feel like. I've never hand one. I can drink like a fish and I might still be drunk when I wake up but I don't get hangovers. Or at least I didn't. It's been years since I've had enough liquor at one time to get drunk (which doesn't happen easily to me either). *G*
