Drama llama is dramatic
The drama with my car wound up not being as bad as I thought it would. I just needed a new battery which kinda pissed me off anyway because I had the battery replaced with the alternator just over 3 yrs ago - about 3 months past the warranty on the battery. but it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
Another $10 taxi fare, a mile walk from Wal-Mart where I had the taxi drop me off so I could get a few staples in case I was without my car for a few more days; a $45 jump start from really nice young man; and $65 plus tax for a battery. Altogether it still winds up being nearly $150 that I really can't afford, but it's much better than the drama I had unraveling in my head the last few days.
I'm feeling better, too. The ears are still a little tender, my sinuses are packed (but what else is new there) and the glands in my neck are still a little tender also but nothing like they were. If I'm not showing more improvement tomorrow I'll drive my ass to the clinic.
