Hey Xig, it's me. First off, your answer machine message is just... I never commented on it before, but it's kinda weird...
Second thing is our findings. We've been using the gutted laptop as a starting point and combing through that area of town, but whoever it is is leaving absolutely nothing to chance: no clues, no hints, nothing. Whoever it is definitely doesn't want to be found. Probably not an amateur abductor, then.
Anyway, we're still looking. Get back to me as soon as you get this to let me know how you're doing and whether you've turned up anything yourself.
You really need to start picking up your phone when people actually call. You know, they might have something important to tell you.
But I don't. I don't know where to start. I'm slowly losing my mind and this beast is more than ready to break out of here and tear through this whole city looking for her. Even our friendly neighborhood espionage agent, the same one setting up residence in my living room until we find Larxene because he doesn't trust me to not lose myself, is having trouble even finding a place to start.
A-after thinking about all of what was said, though... ... I think I may know who's responsible. At least, I've narrowed it down to two groups that I know of. It could be someone else, but... I've got my guesses.
That should make negotiation easier, right?
[sigh]
Speaking of negotiation, Daniel called an old friend. And some new friends, as well. We've got two five-star negotiators on our side if we need them. And half the local SWAT team.

Hey, I got to my phone literally two seconds after it stopped ringing! You're not answering either!
Well, who do you think it could be? I know I'm going to Dubai in a couple of days, so I'm handing over whatever I have from what my boys have got to someone else, but if you have ideas now, we can get to looking and narrowing places down.
And there's a local SWAT team? I didn't think they were policed like that here... their regular cops barely do anything for anyone as it is. And I'm still tripping over the fact that you called a SWAT team in for this...
I'm waiting on a call from Galen. He's leading a team out north and he's due to call me back any second. Call me back in five, if I don't answer, just leave a message.

You think they're related to a target? I guess that makes some sense...
But I just got off the phone with Galen. They've found something out about one of the abductors. No idea how they got it, but one of the guys was checking out the laptop shell and said he could smell Chanel perfume? Do not ask me how, I'm thinking he was a dog in a previous life or some shit like that, but the keyboard smelled like Chanel perfume.
I think that's reason enough to think that there's a strong possibility that the person you were talking to the other day was a woman.
I'm gonna head out with them tonight to try and dig up something else. If need be, I'll get Ansem to cooperate by some miracle. He probably knows who they are and where they are, it's just getting him to talk that's gonna be the big thing...
I wish I knew for sure one way or another. It would make this so much easier.
It could have been a man, in the company of a woman, or the laptop could have been stolen from a woman. Or doused with it to try and knock off the dogs from the scent.
Yeah, these are "your" streets and this is "your" town, but goddammit, that's my fiancée and those are my kids and fuck you all if you think I'm not going to be there to take them back. It's me they're after, anyway.
Tell Ansem I'll do almost anything.
... anyway... I took anti psychotics about an hour ago. I probably took more than I should have. I think they're finally kicking in. Taking a rest.
If you somehow find a way to get a message to Larxene, tell her I love her and tell her I'm sorry. Saix says he'll be over shortly. He's done a bit of computer tomfoolery and he's found out a vague general area of where Hunter is. He says the safest and surest way to make sure information isn't hacked or overheard is to deliver it mouth-to-ear.

Maybe you should try talking to him?

Get some men over there, please.
