Thoughts on Lost Season 4
First off- I did not watch the season premiere. As pointless as it may seem, ratings matter, so I am refusing to watch it as a way to voice my anger over Darlton's treatment of the C/C fans. Those guys are douche bags who have set back creator/ fan relations 20 years. (Plus they have totally fucked up the premise of J.J. Abrams show, but that's for another post.)
But I have read lots of discussions about the episode and I just wanted to make that clear before I went on. So...
Dom
I admit there was some squeeing when I read about the whole Hurley/ ghost!Charlie scene. And yes I have seen the caps, and yes there was more squeeing over the hotness that is Dom. But...
Charlie
Seeing those pictures just made me think of Dom- not Charlie. Sure if ghost!Charlie sticks around, it will be great to see Dom on television every week.
But really what's the point?
I'm a C/C shipper and a ghost!Charlie is useless to me.
Darlton complained that there was nothing more for them to write in terms of Charlie's character development. Well who fucking cares- it was time for them to finally get around to writing some C/C relationship development like they had been leading us fans on about for the past two fucking years- if they had ever bothered to write it, character development for both Charlie and Claire would have naturally occurred.
So I can't help being cynical and view the potential for a ghost!Charlie as just another way for Darlton to show their utter disdain for the C/C shippers.
