(no subject)
OK, so after all the big talk of staying in Houston, I ended up in Iowa. I really was not afraid to stay in town and ride out the storm. My biggest reason for leaving was that I did not want to deal with no power and no AC. So now that I'm out of town, I have to admit I'm glad I left. Hopefully Mike will stay safe. He has the house as ready as it's going to get. He and his brother are staying together. His sister and her family tried to leave Thursday morning, but after traveling 7 miles in just under 4 hours, they decided to go back home. My trip was uneventful except for the 25 or so miles on 290. That was bumper to bumper and 5-10 mph. So here I am in Lenox. The weather is nice. It's homecoming. Should be a nice little get away aside from the fact that I will be worrying about everyone still in Houston. Not sure when I will be heading home. I'll just wait to see what happens over the weekend. If anyone wants to call for any reason .......281 703 9951
