"I understand that life can take people down different paths, and I wish you well on yours."
Beautifully said.
I think that's pretty much how life goes. People come into our lives and they leave. Hopefully on good terms so you can still wave and go about your day. I mean, there's no way we could all keep in touch with every single person we have met for more than 30 seconds. It'd be impossible for various reasons. Difference of opinion, priority, religious or political views, or you just flat out hate each other within those first 30 seconds! Haha.
I think part of life is being able to brush yourself off when you've stumbled along the rocky path known as life, and trudging forward, no matter how much dirt we've acquired along the way. And that's really what stepping out of friendships or relationships or connections are about. It's about stumbling a bit, and humbling yourself. Realizing that things are not working as they are, and moving forward.
I mean, if you stay at the bottom of the mountain in the rain forest, you may end up drowning. But if you climb the mountain, you can start a fire and call for help.
IN OTHER NEWS...
I love where life is headed. I am feeling renewed and positive again. This may or may not have something to do with the fact that I was looking at houses in North Carolina and I found really great houses for dirt cheap and I could totally afford them within 4-5 years of working. At least three of which would be here in Florida. Yay. (By dirt cheap I mean 10-15 acres, with a 5/4/3 built in 2007 for $325K!!!-Yeah, I believe in 20% down payments, even before losers screwed the economy with 100% financing!)
Plus I am trying new foods and recipes. And a certain boy promised to make me a baked alaska for my birthday. Nothing romantic, just awesome 'cause I wanted to try it. Haha.
And I am considering getting a cat. A female russian blue. I think that'd be awesome. Too bad Percy hates cats. Haha. I guess I'll decide in a year.
Anyways. It's almost 3am. I'm going to wake up early to go hang out at Jeni's.
Later alligators, in a while crocodiles.
