i won't be homeless next year!
good news and some bad news (ok not really bad, just kinda disappointing). The good news is that I got housing!I'm not homeless for next year anymore! The kinda bad news is that I got a single in this place that is mostly graduate housing, but was opened up to undergrads because there is a shortage of oncampus housing. It houses like 300 or so undergrads. It could be worse, though. I pretty much have a roommate becuase I share a bathroom with the person next door to me, I just have my own room. So thats nice, own bathroom (no more shower shoes needed!...unless the person i share the shower with is gross) and privacy! Plus, the room is a little bigger than the one I have now, and I share my room now with Shannon. So, more space! Perhpas I could get some kind of chair/couch so I dont have to sit on my bed or at my desk all the time. And then I could accomodate guests! Hopefully I'll be getting a lot of guests, it's going to be kinda lonely living in a single. It's going to be quite a difference from what I have now. My hall is the loudest and friendliest hall i've been on. Next year it'll be very quite. But, I do have a couple of friends from band that I know will be living in the same building that I could go watch my favorite tv shows with or use their kitchens or whatever. As for location its still pretty central so thats good and its also right across from the gym, so thats convenient.
I'm really looking forward to decorating. That will be this summers activity. As for food next year, I don't know what i'll do. I was really hoping to get a kitchen and i dont really want to do the meal plan becuase its a rip off. hm hm hm.
well anyway, i got something and thats good.
I also decided today that I'm going to stay at my job this year for next year. When i was at work today, my boss was like "do you know what you are doing for work study next year?" and i was like "well, I was hoping i could still work here" and she's like "oh im so glad that you said that! i was really hoping you could. you've been such a good work-study, i wish i could clone you! Oh and before the end of this year, we're going to shut the office down for a day and take you out for lunch!" i was so flattered! i don't think i was doing anything extraodinary...oh well. it made me happy to hear :)
So things are coming together for next year. I think i know what classes im taking, but im not completely certain. I still have a couple of days to figure it out.
