Water Walls
Standing at the edge where the earth meets the heavens
This feeling you begin to doubt
The waves tumble by and the seaweed snags
on your feet as the tide comes out
How do you know this is the right thing to do?
It’s a game of nothing more than chance
There’s seaweed and sharp rocks and glass all around
You’ll cut your feet if you decide to dance
If you swim out further the risks increase
Sharks and drowning and never coming back
Seeing everything that’s wrong isn’t going to work
It’s not an enemy, it won’t attack
Think of the ocean as something so soft
The danger we need to survive
The salt and the depth that frightens you most
It’s also where animals thrive
Take a chance, dive in, ride along the current
And end up on a rollercoaster ride
You’ll never be in the same place again
The ripples shall match your stride
It’s not a bad thing, to take a chance
To step out of your walls carved from stone
You need to trust, it’s all you can do
And you’ll never be at it alone
How come I always find things out and do things long after normal people have? And why, whenever I find happiness, is the world around me so sad?
I feel like I shouldn't be happy.
But I am.
Love.
