Who would starve their eyes of beauty,
under the counsel of fear,
to seek the uninspiring captivity of safety?
And what is safety
but an illusion tortured by reality?
It is a mirage surrounded by dangers
numerous as the sands of the desert.
And has life not taught you?
Beauty rarely lies in the clutches
of that which is safe.
Not even the seductive eyes of a lover
can be trusted to do no harm.
For the eyes of love and affection
bare striking resemblance
to those of hate and malice.
But that does not stop our hearts
from searching for the warmth of another.
and so it is the brave of spirit with whom
Beauty shall find her lover.
For they are not prisoners to foolish fears
and actively do they seek wonder.
For your fear can be a trickster of sorts,
a broken compass at times,
a misplaced star in the sky
guiding you only to a life void of itself.
So remove the shackles of fear.
Search for love, beauty, and the like
anywhere they can be attained
and experience the world
that surrounds you.
fear,
brave,
beauty,
life
