Cheers to the restless of heart
In search of whatever it may be that calls them
Those rummaging through the underbrush
Through the tangles of thoughts
It is out there, or else why would you have come?
Cheers to the smiling dreamers
Lest the world awake to your snores
Keep dreaming but not too long
Just time enough to catch enough of the vision to awaken with
Cheers to the broken people
It is through you the light shines
It is through you that we learn the power of emotion
Love, hate, joy, anger, fear, and courage
All radiate through your transparent form
Cheers to the children
Drink from your cup of innocence while you can
Laugh and dance with the drunken adults
But take heed of their lessons
Of their failures
Of their successes
This world will be yours soon enough

Cheers to the sun and moon
Cheers to the wind, exhaled by God
