A Mortal’s Time

Mar 14, 2011 23:23

Can you revive the dying minute
or pull an eternity out of a single day?

Can you say with full confidence
the fleeting moment has never escaped your grasp
or that appreciation waned for the present
while wishing for greater, undeserved gifts?

Can you humble yourself as the servant of Time
offering the works of your mortal shell until the terms of indenture have been met
to see your soul released to the freedom of eternity?

If so, then above all others will you stand
And an unimaginable legacy will be left from the restless work of your mortal hands

mortality, time, life
