Went to New York last Saturday and man was it awesome! I went to three museums over the course of the day, the Met, the Guggenheim and the Whitney. I wasn't too excited about the stuff at the Guggenheim,, it was mostly modern photography art on display and that's really not my cup of tea. But they had a show on Kandinsky which made it all worth it. The Whitney was good but the Met was definitely the best. I finally got to see some of Charles Sheeler's work in person and a
print by Ralston Crawford! I also got to see more of Edward Hoppers works as well. It was amazing to see al those works in person, so inspiring.
Later I made a trip down to Times Square an had a look around, an then went to Rockefeller to go to Nintendo World. But getting to Rockefeller was a pain in the neck. Apparently nobody in New York knows where it was and sent me all over the place trying to find it! But I eventually found it by sheer luck, I unluckily had unknowingly passed it twice..... Though Nintendo World was so cool, which definitely made it worth the trip. Got some really cool
stuff while there. I really wanted to get some shirts but they were WAY overpriced. I also picked up a postcard with a
Lichenstein print at the Guggenheim, which now hangs on my fridge.
All in all it was a great day an was kina sad when I had to leave. I really should try to go again soon, there's still a few more museums I want to see.
