My chest hurts a lot. This is new. I'm assuming its got to be from congestion. I still have no voice and I spent most of the day asleep again. I move back and forth from bed to computer and that's about it. Oh, also eating. I figured its probably not a good idea to stick to my 2009 diet while I'm sick, mostly because I can't because I can only eat soft foods like noodles.
Doctor on Monday most likely.
The only thing I really have been doing is working on these dolls.
I could post pictures but there isn't much to see yet, just cut out patterns. I'm going fairly hardcore with these. Michiru's dress is going to be %100 silk and her earrings will be real swarovski crystals, and Pluto's chains are real gold with real tiny, 1mm pearls. Surprisingly, the tiniest pearls were much more expensive than normal sized pearls, and I could only find one site that sold them. I'm going to use leftover pearls for a custom Serenity, which I'll tackle next.
For Saturn, because I'll never find a
Japanese doll that I wouldn't feel awful about taking out of the box (and for less than $300), I bought a naked
Irwin release for $25 shipped. They're actually quite pretty, but the only problem is she is the same height as the other dolls. I could get a Midi body... but none of the others have joints and I don't want her to look out of place. Maybe I can buy a skipper doll or something.
I've decided not to repaint their faces, mostly because then there'd be almost NO point in using the dolls at all, especially with their stupid tiara holes in their heads. Might as well keep the faces intact. Hence that's why I opted for the Irwin doll.
Things are coming along nicely! I'm at a standstill with Haruka's blouse till my tiiiiiny buttons come in, so I'll work on her jacket. Matching that lace is going to be a pain.
I'm going to sell these dolls for like a million dollars.
