I believe the subject line is true because...I have a job - FINALLY! The good news is that I start tomorrow. The bad news is that the job is NOT my dream job...Fabian Hambuechen's personal thigh masseuse:

Anyway, I just want to say thanks to all of you for your well-wishes. I really appreciate your support. I guess I could say something here about the kindness of strangers, but I think the Internet makes each of us at least a little bit familiar to each other. Besides, none of you is THAT strange, har har... *GROAN*
PS: Ooh, ooh! Last Saturday, October 25th, was Fabian's birthday. Happy belated 21st birthday, Fabi! (I don't know if turning 21 is a big deal in Germany, considering that Germans can drink when they turn 18, but I'll pretend it's a big deal for Jon's sake. Now Jon can take Fabi out properly when he visits the U.S.!) To celebrate the day that this beautiful man first graced the planet with his presence, I bring you a gift:
I know that all of you have seen this picture before, but I want to mention something awesome about it. Check out the face of Papa Wolfgang (Fabi's father) in the upper right hand corner...he's smiling! Methinks that Papa Wolfgang likes the idea of Fabi and J-Hor together:

Fabi: "Dad...um...may I go on a date with Jon tonight?"
Wolfgang: "Sure, son. How could I say no after seeing the two of you embrace each other so passionately?"
Jon: "We won't stay out really late, Mr. Hambuechen. I promise."
Yay! Papa Wolfgang rocks! Now it's off to discuss their plans...

Anyway, here's another gift (found during an Internet search for pictures of my obsession crush). In the "All Things Gay" forum of Real Jock, a Web site for "gay fitness, health, and life," there is a thread titled, "Post shots of your favorite Olympic athletes" (www.realjock.com/gayforums/256449/). If you scroll toward the bottom of the thread, you will see the Fabi/Jon passionate embrace pic. ;-) Well, the person who posted said pic wrote, "Feel free to write your own caption." Here are the two that followed - and the second had me ROFLMFAO:
