Alright...I keep putting off writing in my LJ, but I really need to just buckle down and get'erdone! Oh! By the way...I have a new layout...it's so prettyful!
Things have been good 'round these parts (I'm not sure why I'm writing in a southern hick accent). I got a new job!!! I'm working as a receptionist for the country club that my mom works at! It's absolutely perfect for me! All I really have to do is greet people, take reservations, answer questions, transfer calls, look up numbers on the computer, send out emails, and things of that nature. Also, I'm allowed to read during my down time, so I'll definitely be catching up on all my new books I've bought recently! The best part is, after this second week of training is over, I'll only work evenings! So I won't have to wake up early!!!! Woohoo!!!!! Haha. I really like the people I work with, too. :) Although, usually I'll be working alone, but still...it's good to know I have cool people to fall back on if need be. I also like being able to dress up for my job. Most jobs I've had required some hideous, dowdy, uniform, or I had to wear all black or something. But, with this job, I get to dress pretty and professional. It's nice. :) My mom took me out shopping for work clothes a little while ago...I didn't bother taking pictures of the clothes, but I did get a shot of all the amazing shoes! A few of the pairs aren't work related, I just had to get them. ;p We actually got some really good deals on most of them! Like, 2 of the most expensive heels only ended up being 6 bucks out of my mom's pocket from some sort of coupon deal she had!
Other than the new job, I've been trying to spend lots of time with friends! I reconnected with my old friend, Emily, and I'm really glad. I didn't realize just how much I missed her 'til I saw her! We met up at Denny's for a catch-up session, and then this Thursday we're going to see, "Sucker Punch!" I'm also super excited because Emily is dating my old best-friend from high school, Jamesie!!! He is the only guy-friend I've ever had and we were so close back in the day! I can't wait to see him again. They make a great couple. :) I also hung out with miss, Lexi Pie, about 2 weeks ago. We went to Coldstone for some yummy ice cream, and then we went and saw, "Red Riding Hood." It was actually really good...kinda cheesy, but good. Plus, I have the biggest girl-crush ever on Amanda Seyfried. ;) We had such an amazing night...a bunch of random hilarious things kept happening. First, Lexi got hit on by like a 12 year old, then we went and killed some time at the movie theater arcade and made fools of ourselves on the DDR machine, then Lexi magically walked over to some game that she decided to play right before we went to sit down for the movie, and she ended up winning the jackpot...so then she had to carry around this huge pile of tickets, haha. We also took some pictures in the photobooth, and we couldn't figure out when it wanted us to change positions, so we ended up with a bunch of the same pose, haha. But, it's okay, we're cute anyways. ;p
Oh...I also hung out with Stephanie again...she wanted to see, "Red Riding Hood," also, so I just went ahead and saw it again since I liked it. Plus, I wanted to see my Stephyboo! After the movie we went and walked around Walmart and had some fun girl-talk. Then, yesterday, after a doctor's appointment, I met up with Sally at her job, since I was in the area, and we caught up a little. Hopefully we'll be hanging out on a more personal level again soon. So, yeah...things have been good in the friend department lately. :) I was going through a pretty hard time for a while there...some drama went down with friends and I was feeling really sad about it, but I've managed to put petty arguments aside and I'm just trying to enjoy life...what with all the crazy crap going on in the world right now...you just never know when your time is up, so you better make the most of the time you do have and make happy memories with the people in your life. I just can't get over all the natural disasters and fighting going on in the world right now. It's just so, so, sad. :'(
But, to end this entry on a positive note...I have fallen in love with a new perfume! Hehe. I picked up, "Midnight Fantasy," by Britney Spears, and it might be my new favorite scent. It's definitely in the top 3, and it's pretty much all I've been using this past week! It's a very light, sweet scent. It's got like black cherry, plum, amber, and vanilla notes in it, but it's super light and feminine. LOVE!
I also went and splurged at Target today because, "Tangled," and the new Britney Spears album came out! I had to rush over and buy them, along with some makeup products, of course. ;p I think my mom's about to run out and do some errands, so she's gonna pick up, "Black Swan," for me too! Hehe. Here are all my goodies from Target!
