Hello, everyone!
I'm finally posting! Hehe. Sorry I've been so lazy. ;p I'm really happy with my new LJ user name though! Let me tell ya, I've had somewhere around 10 LJ's over the years, and I've never been truly happy with any of the names I picked out. This one just feels right and really goes with my personality and the things I love! <3 I also figured out how to fix up the layout all on my own, and I'm proud of myself, hehe! I really like my background, although, I kinda miss the pink. Pink is just such a happy color! ;D
Let's see...where to begin? Well, first off, the cruise was awesome! I'm not going to go to in depth about it on here because I just sent several of you letters in which I describe it in detail and I don't want to give it away here! Haha! I'll post a few photos here for ya, though. Sadly, we still haven't gotten the photos we took at the beach developed. :'( Although, that might be a good thing because they show me in a bathing suit, which isn't very pretty. ;p Then again, I don't look all that great in any of these photos either...heh. Sorry, I'm not trying to be a downer, it just wasn't a very photogenic trip. That, and I've been really insecure about my weight lately. :'( However, the scenery was magnificent! The water was crystal clear, teal, and full of tropical fishies! The ship was amazing too! It was HUGE! There were 12 stories filled with different attractions. There was a casino, several restaurants, a huge free buffet that was open 24/7 with food from all over the world, a large theater for musicals, bands, and comedy acts, tons of bars all throughout the ship, a big gift shop, 2 pools, 4 hot tubs, a gym, a jogging track, a dance club, an arcade, and more!
Our ship in relation to me!
Our first day was spent shopping/exploring in Nassau, Bahamas.
I'm not so happy about all the freckles and tan lines I got, haha.
Our horse carriage ride around town.
Quinn behind bars at the old fort in Nassau.
The town hooker. ;p
That night we went to a dance party on the upper deck!
And we got our drink on with yummy Pina Coladas!
I think it's safe to say we were satisfied. ;p
The next day we headed off to the private island!
The Great Stirrup Cay was owned by the cruise line.
Then we spent our last night gazing at the sunset.
Feel free to ooohhh and aaahhh! ;p
The day after we got home from our cruise we went to go see Harry Potter 7! I liked it because I'm such an avid HP fan, although, I have to say...it was pretty boring and I felt sorry for anyone who hasn't read the books because it seemed pretty confusing. I had to explain it for Quinn at the end. I know this will sound blasphemous, but I actually think they should've just made it all into one movie and shortened up a lot of the camping out scenes. :-/ But, of course, I still love the movies. :) Then, last weekend we ended up seeing, Tangled! Now, that movie, I have a much better review for! It was SO freaking adorable and I just adored it! I've already seen it twice because I made my mom go see it with me on Monday, haha! The scene with the floating lanterns was positively magical. At the end of the movie I told Quinn I wanted lanterns at our wedding, and he said, "That's funny! I was thinking the same thing during the movie!" Awwww...
Tomorrow I'm going to pick up Quinn and we get to hang out for 3 days in a row! I'm so excited 'cause we usually only see each other once or twice a week! We're going to meet up with Sally at Applebee's tomorrow night, then Friday, Quinn's taking me out on a fancy date! We're going to go to P.F. Chang's because I just started a low carb diet today, and they have a lot of yummy meat dishes that don't come with rice or anything. Plus, it's so pretty inside, all the walls have painted asian murals. After that we're going to see the new Narnia movie which I'm stoked for! The cinematography looks fantastic! It should be a wonderful evening. :)
Man, I wish Christmas would get here already, hehe! I'm so excited! I've already got all my shopping done and I can't wait for everyone to see their gifts! I also sent out 8 letters to my close online friends around the US, and I can't wait for them to get their little goodies I added!
xoxo Laura
