Very, VERY well said. I know exactly what you mean. I once had this crazy, bible-obsessed neighbour who was against me taking yoga classes because it's supposedly 'the devil's exercise.' Some people!! And I live near Toronto...it's not some hick town!

Nicely said! Faith and spirituality is an awesome thing, but unfortunately, some people (*coughFUNDAMENTALISTScough*) get caught up in the "fine print", and miss that.

Mmm... home. Feel SO good. I never realize how much I love Vermont until I visit the southern US - it's a completely different culture. It's sad how extreme and controlling some religion can get, and don't even get me started on it mixing with politics. Sigh, at least I have a plethera of awesome sane people, like you, around me... or soon to be :)

Oh Chelsey, capitolization aside, I wouldn't have even needed to question who the comment was from. Not all my friends are blessed with bible-loving Bushite fundementalists mothers looking out for the savior of their souls ;)

If your mother only knew the kind of hell-bound liberal scum you hung around with... if she asks, just tell her that we make more interesting friends than the kids from Bible class.
