aloha is both hello and goodbye
Only tools update livejournal from school computer labs/libraries.
So yeah, whatever. First time for everything.
In 2 1/2 hours I board a bus.
In 5 3/4 hours I board a plane.
In 12 1/4 hours I disembark.
In app. 16 hours I arrive at my new/next home.
I'm so ready to go.
I was nervous all week. But now I'm packed. And I'm here. And I'm ready.
The last few days at home were lovely. Staying home and packing with occasional visits was a good way to wind down. I was glad to see those that stopped by my last night home. And George, who drove out for lunch the day before.
I am foolish and thought that I could carry two 50 pound bags and wheel a rolly carry-on while wearing a monstrously warm coat and heavy backpack from the airport to the bus to the T and up allllll those stairs. I did save $20. Carolyn let me stash my heaviest bags at her apartment and for this she is a saint. Spending my last night at Phibs' was pretty swell. In addition to easing my banking and cell plan concerns, I ate some veal and went to bed before midnight and spent some time with da Phlerbs and Johnny and Alex and it was just so nice.
So yeah, let's go. I'm ready.
