In the last few months I've applied to and been accepted into a study abroad program in Rome that is run by Duke University. I've been debating whether or not to go because of financial reasons and because it might set me back academically due to my not taking as many classes as I normally would (it would basically be a free, have-fun semester . . . go figure). I figured that if I could make the financial burden minimal, studying in Rome for four months was too much to pass up.

It's not been completely confirmed, but it seems likely that I will be spending the spring 07 semester in Rome. I would leave mid-January and return mid-May, right in time for my 21st birthday.
