I love belle and sebastian

So I'm sitting here at the computer lab listening to belle and sebastian and i am overwhelmed with how happy makes me feel. Why did i put it away for such a long time..

Some really really good news today:
1. I got admitted into the dept of education. It's official and this allows me to register for classes over the summer.
2.This means that I can actually start student teaching next semester.. which i'm a bit scarred of. Everything i've done for the past three years is riding on my real experience with these students, including future jobs. Student teaching will shape my ideology as far as education goes and depending on the teacher i'm placed with could alter my optimism.
3.My paper over dyslexia earned me an A and some much needed praise by my special ed teacher.
4.I cleaned my room
5.today i get to buy some sheet music and start practicing a new piece!

this week is international week at campus which includes the African drum ensemble and the African dancers. At the Japan booth, students are giving out tea and there is even an Islam booth. I find this sort of thing interesting but at the same time its almost like affirmative action. Yes, there is still a need to bring awareness to our school, but does it really have to come down to giving away a bunch of free stuff? stuff as big as new cars?! I guess this is coming from the school who's conservative fraternity does an "alien round-up" so to speak, where they try to make illegal immigrants leave. hmmm.. a free car and food for a little understanding?!!! aparantly it takes alot to educate people. Its sad to think about but perhaps an international week is a skewed step in the right direction.

If anyone wants to celebrate with me, call cell!
