Inauguration

So I know most other 20-something college-age liberals are looking forward to Obama's inauguration this Tuesday. I am not. Or I am, in the sense that THE DC AREA WILL GO BACK TO NORMAL ONCE IT'S OVER. It's going to be such a huge hassle for those of us who live here.

Various ranting, raving, and impotent fist-waving )

dc, whining

I also heard that they'll be opening the parking lots at the Metro stations at something like 3am on Tuesday, so unless you can get a parking space by like 3:01am, you're probably better off walking to the Metro. WTOPnews.com also tells me now that they might be closing I-95 for a little while, too.

It's the main reason I'm actually glad I'm leaving tomorrow (from DULLES), but apparently the Dulles Access Road is HOV-2 starting today. Hopefully that won't cause much of a problem for those of us trying to escape fly out @.@

I was thinking about going to the inauguration too (if I got a ticket), but no, it's just going to be too insane. College Park is going to be pretty congested with traffic, I'm sure -.- After work, I'm just going to go to my room and watch it in peace.
