Ok, get this:
Within the last 16 months, God has taken away from me...
my daddy
a lot of my friends
my job
a couple of "significant others"
Ok now that it's listed out, it doesn't look like much, but oh my gosh it feels like He's taken away every single thing that I could possible turn to for security. I mean, and He's taken very drastic measures. For a while I was angry, but a few months ago I came to the conclusion that He's just preparing me for something HUGE. Right? I mean, now all I have is Him, so He can fully prepare me for what is next! I am nervous excited, you know, like when you're about to go skydiving... you are scared to death because you've never done anything like that before and there is a bit of a risk doing it, but then you finally just jump and after that big step, it's out of your hands. You're just subject to the wind.
I've never been skydiving. I mean, I want to. But that's what I would imagine it would be like.
You know, the doctor says you should have at least one serving of fish per week. Yeah, fish is thatgood for you. Not fried though, naturally. So I think I'm gonna drive home today and go eat with my mom and stepdad at the Seafood Market in Trussville. That place is good! And free! (when I go with them)
So I bought a pair of swimsuit bottoms yesterday. I know, it's only February! BUT they have some really cute swimsuits at Target and they are all on sale for only $12 (tops and bottoms separately)!!!! I mean that's a whole swimsuit for only $24 bucks! However, they didn't have a matching top in my size. ....i guess I'll have to go to a topless beach?.... No no, I'm gonna go to the Target ing Trussville today and see if they have a top in my size. If they don't, I'll just take the bottoms back.
Have you ever heard of Mystery Dinner Theatre at the comedy club? I tried (without much effort) to figure out how to put a picture on here so I could post the ad instead of typing it all out, but I couldn't figure it out. How do you do that? Anyway, it is like an interactive play.... for example, Saturday night the theme is an "Italian-Redneck Wedding" and the audience is part of the reception party. And then there is a "murder" and the audience members help the cast "solve the mystery." And they serve you dinner with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks (you have to buy alcoholic ones separately) and dessert.... the whole thing, dinner and ticket, is only $29.95, not bad if you ask me. Well Caroline and I wanted to get out this weekend and do something different... and we're not so much into the "bar" scene and dinnner & a movie seemed boring... so we found that and we're gonna go! I'll let you know how it goes.
Ok this is really long. Sara and I got College Night tickets yesterday... but all that was left was balcony for Saturday night. Sucks to that. But we got em anyway. Oh well at least we get to go.
I'm out.
