I had a special gift for my special girl but I knew that the timing had to be just right. Once she'd proven herself loyal enough I'd give her just the weapon she needed to take what she wanted. Her obsession for my granddaughter grows by leaps and bounds every day and I've done nothing but fuel the fire for it. Whatever it takes to keep Alexia away from Connor ( ... )

I was always delighted when he came to visit me. He was my best guy ever. As much as I had once been loyal to Spike, I had the truth revealed to me, the only Daddy I could depend on was James. He liked what he saw in me, and he wanted be to be bigger, badder, stronger and better.

"A surprise?" I asked with delight, giving him a bright smile as I eagerly waited to see what he had for me. First things first, I stood on my tiptoes and gave him a kiss. It's the way he should always be greeted.

Faith confused me so much. She had the world's most amazing father, and she fought her genetics every chance she got. I would never ever make him feel like he was anything but a hero in my eyes.

"I really like surprises." I really did. Most people can't surprise me. I'm too smart and quick for them, but James always had the best surprises.

A smile touched the corners of my mouth as Sophia stood up on her tip toes so she could kiss me in greeting. Always so eager to please me, just the way I'd envisioned this relationship working out. Of course, in the beginning I had no idea just how successful this would be, but I'm figuring it out ( ... )

It was beautiful. As soon as I saw it I could tell it was powerful and beautiful and he wanted me to have it.

"Is this what I think it is?" I asked, as I traced the necklace with my fingertips.

"It's enchanted. It has mystical powers, I can feel it. It's pulsating through my blood and making me burn so good all over."

I reached up and touched his cheek so gently, caressing the face that I had come to adore. He was beautiful. I would find him beautiful in any form. The intensity of his gaze always set me on fire from the inside out.

"What do you think it is?" I asked her curiously, watching her carefully.

She was a smart girl and apparently the effects of the necklace could be felt to some extent by the wearer. "It's burning. It isn't painful, is it?" I asked her, still drinking her in with my eyes.

"What would you do for me, Sophia?" I knew I was asking her a great many questions but I always enjoyed playing with her. Casually I pulled the stake out of my pocket and held it out towards her with a grin. "Would you die for me?"

Did she already know what it could do? I don't know, I never could decide if I was testing her or if we were playing.

"It's a good kind of pain. The kind of pain you want to savor."

I wasn't sure what this necklace could do, but it made me feel like nothing could stop me. Normally I felt like a weapon of mass destruction, but now I felt like I was indestructible.

His question surprised me. Did he not know or was this a game? I liked our games. James knew how to play with me better than anyone did, but I'd teach Lexi fun games. I was going to have so much fun with her too.

"I'd die for you without a second thought. You know I'd do anything for you."

There was nothing he couldn't ask of me that I wouldn't give him. He possessed all of me. I was loyal to him in ways I could never be to my bloodline. It evened out since his bloodline was unable to be loyal to him.

"Do you want me to die for you? Because I feel like dying isn't possible. I feel..." I paused and gave him a smirk, "Indestructible."

She felt indestructible, my smirk turned into a grin and easily I pressed her up against the wall so hard it would make her head spin and as I did, I drove the stake straight into her heart. She didn't flinch, didn't even move against me, but she didn't crumble into dust either.

"I guess you are indestructible." I said quietly, tipping my head down a little bit towards her's. I stayed for a second before pulling the stake out of her chest and dropping it to the floor with a smirk.

"Do you have anything to drink?" I asked her, knowing full well she always had a bottle of scotch in her apartment.

She walked towards the bar and I followed her with my eyes. "This opens so many doors of opportunity for you, Sophia. You can move around during the daylight hours now."

Oh my god, it was the most delicious pain ever. The stake pierced my flesh, went straight into my heart, but I didn't shatter. He pulled it out and let it fall to the floor as I licked my lips and looked at him with obvious adoration.

"Of course," I told him, still feeling the rush of dancing with death only to be proved right that I was indestructible. I poured out three fingers full of scotch and carried it over to him.

"If only they didn't have Connor and Nicole following the children around at school. I'd be able to wear that cute little uniform and play with Lexi every day. But they know what I look like."

I pouted at him because I really liked the idea of playing school girl games with Alexia. We could be the bestest friends. She would like it too.

"But I love my surprise. I can't wait to make the most of it. Is there anything special you'd like me to do for you?"

I smirked as she handed me the glass of scotch and thought about what she would have already considered play. Of course, she wanted to follow Lily to school and befriend Lexi, and possibly Tyler. I didn't underestimate the boy, I just wasn't entirely sure what he was designed for. Still, he was family, he would always have a place here.

"Well, if going to school is really how you want to spend your time, I'm sure something could be arranged. But I don't think Connor following them around will be a problem for much longer."

At least in theory, tragically theory seldom proved true. Generally, I was met with surprised. Which was gratifying in it's own way, surprisingly.

"You know, a simple glamour could alter your appearance enough to throw everyone off your trail." I added in casually, trying to measure her pleasure in such an idea. "If you were interested, I'm certain I know all of the appropriate people." I smiled. "People, being figurative, mostly."

Mmm that sounded amazing. I'd be able to play fun games, and no one could stop me. They wouldn't even know that they should run and hide ( ... )
