and now for a stream of consciousness
the first real post without pictures in quite some time:
230 the friday before/of spring break and half the population of usc is gone, most of them left yesterday.
we leave for NEW ORLEANS tomorrow morning! peeling out of bates parking lot at 8am, loading the car today at 4pm..
katie (friend from thr 4th floor) is the only girl i know in the car, so itll definitely be 'make new friend' time for 12 hours! i love long car rides. love them
today has been really productive for as unproducitve has i thought it was going to be. i got the most important parts of my to do list done in 30 minutes! i guess that means i didnt have a whole lot to do, which is true. but i had been putting off most of it for a while
but i decided to go to the study abroad office after speech (since its just across the street...) and i got an apt for 130 - finally got the ball rolling on going to england! it was a dumb peer advisor session to decide what you want to do, but i already know so it was pointless. but i guess i HAD to do it - but at least its out of the way. my peer guy, alex, is pretty cool though. we were talking about our adventures for break and such and i mentioned backpacking last week and he was like "oh yeah the art loeb, blah blah blah" and just spouted stuff off about it. it was weird that he knew so much about the trails up there. he went to new zealand for 6months last year, bought a $500 car with friends there, fixed it up, and drove it until it died 1 week before he left. i'm jealous!
i'm working on putting the rest of my CD's on the beloved ipod for the trip tomorrow and i'm listening to saves the day! teleport to 11th grade, please! i cant believe 11th grade was almost 4 whole years ago. it doesnt feel that way at aaallllllll
back to the music - katie and i are taking our ipods with us on the trip, but we're not sure how our driver, ms. sarah barrett, will like our music. we just met her last night.
a random guy told me he liked my hat today in the walmart parking lot, that was weird.
and some other random guy asked me what kind of perfume i wear. he wasnt even close enough to smell me - he popped out from behind a car !!
"hey can i ask you a question!?"
"uh sure"
"what kind of perfume do you wear?"
"none, i dont wear any"
"what kind do you wear sometimes?"
"i dont ever wear it"
"oh, ok"
looking back on it, today was a weird day at walmart. all 30 minutes of it.
anyone want to go see saves the day? i'm feeling that'd be fun. i really want to see MIA too!
