- As I type this, I am enjoying a delicious LaFleur lunch, which I had to trek through the cold rain to get. It was worth it.
- Know what band I hate? The Boredoms. Any period of the Boredoms. From "Onanie Bomb Meets the Sex Pistols" right up until that stupid "Sea Drum/House of Sun" bullshit. I think all their records are equally dumb. I've tried to like them over the years (you're supposed to), but I'm done with that.
- I dreamt last night that I had an epic love affair with a girl who loved Celtic Frost and Whitehouse. She was a high powered business exec (who was also somehow gang-related). Then I woke up and I honestly felt so depressed. It was weird.
- I am going through one of my periodic David Bowie phases after a convo about him on saturday. His was pretty much the first music I ever really loved, so it's hard to be objective about him. He can be pretty embarassing sometimes (see the lyrics to "Cracked Actor," and the "Diamond Dogs" album in its entirety, for example). But when he's really on, he gets me just as much now as he did when I was 10 or whenever it was that I first heard him in my parents' basement. It's absolutely insane to think that he made 11 unbelievably great records from '69 until '80 (with only his covers record "Pin Ups" and "Diamond Dogs" not making the cut ("Aladdin Sane" still made it, though it's pretty lame at times)). He's a lot better than the Boredoms that's for sure.
- I ate my meal way too fast and now I feel sick.
