Karyobin are the imaginary birds said to live in Paradise

I've been having a really hard time updating this thing lately. Here are some ideas as to why that might be.
Someone (can't remember who) once said of Baudelaire that he couldn't just look at a sunset, but instead had to look at himself looking at a sunset. The same is definitely true of me. I spend most of my time thinking (obsessing?) about myself (thinking about myself thinking about myself?). Maybe turning on my computer (it's usually already on), opening LJ (bookmarked), and writing about myself to all of you just feels a little excessive. This little blurb here is already annoying the shit out of me.
So if I don't write about myself, then I guess what I'm left with as subject matter is "stuff". But what "stuff" to write about? I like tons of stuff, but what stuff is interesting to read about? Is there any real reason to write about stuff other than to just let people know that I know about said stuff? Would I just be better off thinking about stuff on my own than writing about it here?
All that aside, here's some stuff:

I've been listening to Derek Bailey (RIP), Han Bennink, and Evan Parker's album "The Topography of the Lungs" a lot. When I listen to this music I exclusively think about the performers performing, imagine their onstage interaction (eye contact? gestures? shouts?) picturing myself playing with them, etc. I exclusively think about humans being human, humans interacting with other humans, humans making sounds, humans MAKING. No other music sounds as alive and as real to me as this.
