Friend's Cut and Note to Silent Readers!
hell_angel_v2 is busy so its mostly been me who is maintaining this LJ at the moment. And I noticed that we have way to many people on this account and we don't even know who these people are. They certainly aren't reading these fics or just don't bother commenting and its been making me really depressed. I was looking at the stats in my "MY LJ" and some chapters have like 500 views and only like 30 comments. And when they do comment, its only because they want to be added. Why are you adding it when you don't bother commenting? I have my privacy options on open, and it shows me all the people that are visiting the LJ which makes me even sadder because I have these people on my personal flist or are writers themselves (that happen to complain about not getting comments).
I always get some type of reason and most of the ones I get are:
>I'm to shy (What the heck is there to be shy about? Are you getting naked?)
>I'm to busy so I only have time to read the chapters (when I see them commenting all through out the community and on twitter and honestly, if you have a few minutes to read a chapter, then you have a few seconds to leave a comment )
>I don't know English (Then why are you reading a English fic???)
I am not being some type of egotist where I need comments to prove I'm the best writer out there or ones that I need comments on every single chapter. Just every other chapter or every two chapters would be nice. Its just sometimes writers need comments/feedbacks to be able to continue writing. Its like who are we writing for if not for your entertainment?
Of course not all writers are like that and I really envy those who don't care about it. But unfortunately, I am not one of those amazing writers and I'm going to speak on behalf of all the writers out there that feel this way but are to scared to say anything about it because I know they are scared they will get called "COMMENT WHORES" or get talked about like "Who the hell does she/he think they are?" .
I don't care what people think of me after posting this entry. I asked some people, most who are writers themselves and those who are not, about this post and they all encouraged me to post it. I've always done my best to comment on fics when I read it. I don't want to be one of those writers that lock up their fics but now I kind of understand why some writers do it.
So basically, reply to this entry if you don't want to be cut and if I haven't added you back yet, there is probably a reason.
And to those people that take their precious time out to comment and encourage authors. Thanks! It really really means a lot.

Don't leave "ADD ME" comments in this entry. I'm getting tired of repeating myself over and over again. I will not add you or tell you that you need to comment in the welcome entry to be added from now on.
