WTF, internet?

So, I went to look around a couple of sites after getting off of work tonight (late... power went out GUH), and I get this when I try Kotaku:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://kotaku.com/.

Operation aborted

It shows up in a pop-up window after tryign to load the site. Weird, no?
