I've always loved these! They're like booze for dolls!

Why is nobody talking about True Blood today? This is so sad. A lot of the threads seem to be gathering some steam now, which is awesome. Last season really kicked off around episode 4 and 5 and it seems to be doing again, even if I have enjoyed the ever living shit out of the first three episodes. I actually preferred the last two to this one, I think, but still.

→ THRILLED that they basically revealed that Maryann is the creature in the woods. Bwahaha, like there was any doubt. Though my suspicions were practically confirmed anyway by the fact that people feel the need to write reviews for episodes and litter them with book talk. I'm talking to you, TWoP. Thanks, I have not read them, kindly remember that talking about what happens later on in the books has the potential to be a spoiler? Or writing with a general air of "OH WELL WE ALL KNOW THAT THIS IS GOING TO END IN XYZ"... Like, I thought she was the ~filthy creature~ from probably the premiere, but come the fuck on. It would be sweeeet if I could have had that be the same level of "FUCK YES I KNEW IT!!" excitement as finding out that Sam is a shape shifter. BUT IT'S OKAY, I'VE LEARNED MY LESSON AND WILL NOT BE SO MUCH AS TOUCHING THAT SHIT WITH A BARGEPOLE FROM HERE ON OUT. Anyway. That was awesome.

→ I really want to like Daphne. It's probably too much to hope for that there's nothing sinister there. I'd just like her to actually be good for Sam, but I also realise that everything has to tie together and she clearly has some kind of connection to Maryann - though idk that it's direct? Their conversation in Keep This Party Going implied that they'd never met. When exactly did Daphne get those scratches? Because I'd assumed they were old, since they seem to be healed, and there is nothing of a gap between episodes. But how did she survive it and why is she, y'know, still walking around with a heart? Gaaah I am SO intrigued by all of that. And how she knows about Sam. I really want her to be a shape shifter too, but I don't think she is. Unrelated, but she's obscenely beautiful. Jesus Christ, those eyes! Gorgeous, I totes have a little crush on her.

→ Jessica Jessica Jessica, you are so much fun and so hilarious and endearing and damn if you're not one of my absolute favourites by now. And OH, she wasn't in the books. Seriously, like half of what makes this show brilliant wasn't in the books. I will never understand the batshit obsession with them. At all. But her "order", lol, and GLAMORING THE CHAUFFEUR, OH MY GOD. That was so weirdly sweet, Bill teaching her! And then her telling him that bad things will happen unless he yells what she whispered in his ear. Then out of nowhere he screams "Becky Eubanks is a stuck up whore who let Jace finger her in the church!!" sjdhfd lolll. Also, getting stuck in the coffin. A+, I fucking love herrrr.

→ Bill & Sookie generally didn't do much for me. LOVED Sookie getting off the plane wasted "YOO HOO! That's me!", and Bill and Eric in the bar - "I hope you're enjoying your blood substitute that is costing me $45" "Oh, I have no intention of drinking it. I just want you to pay for it" hahaha. Also loved Bill glamoring the chauffeur at the end about how they weren't on the plane. With the cheesy grins and everything. Brill.

→ No Paaaam :(

→ I love love love seeing the softer side of Eric. LOVED everything with Lafayette and how Eric was all chill watching the TV as Lafayette drank from him. And haha, Lafayette dancing after he got all healed "How's the leg?" "Shit, I just wanna fuckin' DANCE!" "How nice for you". Again, book folk, Charlaine Harris killed this guy at the end of book one, and now you're all creaming over him being paired with Eric. Do we think it's time to maybe shut up and trust Alan Ball yet? For all the whining, people actually like the shit he implemented. So what the fuck.

Anyone else hoping that Eric would actually fly? As in when he said he had to fly? Because I heard a rumour that we'd see him fly this season and I'm excited for how that will inevitably look simultaneously awesome and ridiculous.

Just me, or does Eric somehow get hotter every week? What the fuck what the fuck. His hair is just mesmerising, and I'm not even into blondes as a rule. And those ARMS. Damn.

→ TERRY & ARLENE. YES. Also she was hilarious with Daphne, she has the best facial expressions. That's all I really have to say on that score. BUT OH OH! The promo for next week! It looks like there's a scene where for some reason he scoops her up :D Also some more Sam/Daphne stuff, which I'm excited about.

→ The LODI stuff. Ehhh, the opening was one of the weakest they've ever done imho. Normally the teasers rev me up for the episode and I get all "FUCK YEAH, TRUE BLOOD TIME, BABY" but not so much this week. It was more like "uh, that's it?" But that aside I thought it was pretty fab. It's so gloriously tongue in cheek. LOVED LOVED LOVED the weird fantasy sequence with Sarah ~sexily~ barbecuing and starting to strip. Anna Camp is pretty fantastic. Love the general build up with Sarah and Jason, too. I kinda really want them to just fuck already, ngl. Call me a perv but I feel it would be awesome. When is the sex in this show NOT awesome, anyway.

Also loved the totally creepy and generally batshit stuff with Steve. What a moron.

→ While I can't say I really give a shit about Tara/Eggs as a pairing, that was disgustingly hot and extremely well done. Still waaay more interested in what the deal was with everyone outside though, in the throes of an orgy, ROLLING AROUND IN DIRT AND SMEARING CAKE ALL OVER THEIR FACES. And eating dirt. WHAT. Awesome. And the black eyes again and that crazy dude glugging wine. How gloriously insane that scene was.

→ OH, BUT! Tara, independent of Eggs. Loved all of the friendship stuff with Sookie ("love you the most" "love you more" aww) and completely identified about the birthday stuff. Though I'm sure her experiences would have been much worse. Also loved her scene with Lafayette, I enjoyed her a lot this week.

→ Andy. He is going to end up solving this whole thing, isn't he? Everyone is going to think he's just a useless drunk and that his leads and theories are insane but he's going to nail it. He's onto something with the pig, afterall.

→ The ending. WONDERFUL. I am so excited that they're expanding the whole world of the show even more. It was strangely sweet to see another telepathic :)

There are such an insane number of secondary ships in True Blood that I'm just gonna give them a collective tag now. Like, come on. Terry/Arlene, Sam/Daphne, Tara/Eggs, Jason/Sarah, Jessica/Hoyt - and that's just the recent ones, because there's a shit ton that don't have anything going on, too.

I need more userpic space :( I don't think LJ understands that people have a number of interests and a number of things that they want a large number of icons of. Like, I refuse to delete House stuff for True Blood, or my few 30 Rock related icons. Or one of my two Jill icons and aaargh, this is getting difficult :(

ship: idk the minor true blood ones, lj: fails, tv: house md, person: jill biden, tv: 30 rock, tv: true blood
