OH MY GOD WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THAT HUGH WAS ON JONATHAN ROSS THIS WEEK AND WHY DOES HE HAVE A BEARD NOW? LIKE, AN ACTUAL BEARD? WHY HAVE NONE OF YOU MENTIONED THIS? IF THIS WAS THE OFFICE FANDOM, PEOPLE WOULD HAVE TAGS FOR THAT BEARD BY NOW AND MY FRIENDS PAGE WOULD BE BRIMMING WITH DEBATE ABOUT IT. AND PICTURES. PULL YOUR SOCKS UP HOUSE FANDOM. I know it's the hiatus, but you can't let the fangirl muscles atrophy. That's how you sustain injury when the new season starts up - you're not used to the flailing and you pull things.
DOES THIS MEAN HOUSE IS GOING TO HAVE A SRS BSNS BEARD IN SEASON 6? BC THEY'LL BE BACK FILMING SOON, SO... I DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS. Because Hugh always shaves when he's not working and he's not a fan of the scruff, is he? So why grow a full on beard over the hiatus? And now I am actually watching this and he said he wanted to "try it out". Doesn't mean it's unconnected.
Maybe they won't let him have a razor in Mayfield, for obvious reasons. And maybe he needs someone to shave his beard off FOR him. Y'know, for the supervision. It would make sense for a doctor to do it because... they're trustworthy? Professional? Idfk (Can you see where I'm going with this?). Who's House's doctor again? OH RIGHT, it's Cuddy. She should probably help him shave the beard, Y/Y? And in doing so, pictorialise a million fics for us, YAY. Only it would be better than anyone could ever dream of because when things actually occur with these guys, it invariably is. Because nobody has the brain capacity to actually imagine their hotness and such with total accuracy. So this should probably happen to save us from trying to imagine it. I'm done fan wanking now.
I kind of love that he hates doing plays? Not because I don't like them, because I do - I just always wondered how the fuck people can do the same thing every day for months and months on end. I love that he actually fucking hated it and I ALWAYS love how candid he is, how dry and cynical. Gaaah, love him. Love. him. And he's so DEDICATED and he gives his fucking all to this role and why does this man not have an Emmy yet? It's fucking ridiculous.
And as much as I heart Stephen Fry and he and Hugh being BFF, I DNW him in House. It would be jarring and weird and no, Hugh, he couldn't be your older brother because House is an only child. Sorry :/
But oh, Hugh. You are so charming and hilarious and I miss your face. Even more so now that you are HIDING IT BEHIND THIS BEARD. He looks heavier too, right? Is that just me? Idk. I thought so before they even talked about the boxing, but he looks like he's been working out more or something. Win for the boxing mention, too.
