So I understand BSG is back now? I am excited for you guys! Go nuts, enjoy these last episodes. I hope they're everything you hope for.
But I don't watch it, OK? I'm not going to, and if I ever do, it will be waaay into the future when it's over and the fandom has died down - because I find it incredibly overwhelming. Don't take this for criticism or anything, it's just a personal thing. I am not down with jumping into such a rabid fandom right now. Like, I imagine House is kind of scary from the outside too. Fuck, it's scary from the inside, and not for good reasons, lol.
The point of this entry though? Can you PLEASE say "fuck" and not "frak" when you talk to me? I'M SORRY BUT IT ANNOYS ME. I don't watch Battlestar Galactica, and if you're talking to someone who doesn't watch it, it's kind of respectful to use regular everyday words in a regular everyday conversation. Fandom speak is FINE when it's RELEVANT, but to be flat out honest (and this might lose me some friends, I don't know) - it's not OK to come and talk to me about something serious and litter the conversation with "oh my Gods" or "frak" - I feel like there are times when you should have your mind on the subject you're discussing and not have fandom leak into that. If you're throwing BSG slang at me, it feels kind of like your mind is elsewhere, and it comes off as rude.
My point, essentially - if you don't say frak to me, I won't ask you why you need to negate everything, I won't call breasts funbags, I won't talk to you about do-me pumps and I won't tell you how whorish green and orange are. I won't talk to you about snapple or orangina, sandwich (or pretzel) day, bi-curious shoes, beach socks or toast sweat. I won't say blerg. I won't declare QUESTIONS, I won't throw any TWSS's at you...*
THAT BEING SAID, enjoy your flail tiems ♥
*unless any of these make sense to you, obvs
