Here are more head canons that I've posted on tumblr (
just-becca). There are some of these that I would love to expand into a story. Who knows, it might just happen.
006. Why?
George only questioned why Fred had died but he had lived one time. He had been alone in their joke shop and he hadn’t even finished the sentence before a box on the top most shelf fell and hit him on the head. He had been shocked at first but then had laughed and said, “Good one, Fred.” From then on he experienced life for the both of them (and learned to dodge falling objects).
007. The Marauder's Map
The night before Teddy Lupin left for his third year at Hogwarts, he and his grandmother stayed with Harry and Ginny’s family at 12 Grimmauld Place. It was that night they Harry took his godson aside and told him the story of the Marauder’s then gave him the map. He felt that as the other Marauder son, Teddy had the right to have it.
008. The Deal
After they “officially” began dating Ron and Hermione agreed upon one thing in particular: she’d kill (or set free) all spiders (and other insects) and he’d take care of the rodents.
009. Regrets
The only time Harry regretted leaving the Resurrection Stone in the Forbidden Forest was the day that George and Angelina got married; with it George could have talked to Fred on one of the biggest days of his life.
010. Midnight Rendezvous
The first night they were back at the Burrow after the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry and Hermione passed each other on the stairs while on the way to their significant others’ bedrooms. They nodded to each other, thanking their lucky stars that it wasn’t Mrs. Weasley they had run into, then continued their journeys. But if they thought they had slipped something past Mrs. Weasley, they were wrong. She knew what was going on and would allow it to happen that night when she knew they needed each other the most, but a lecture was already forming in her mind.
011. Generational Gap
Scorpius Malfoy married a half-blood and they had one child together, a girl. Her name was Agatha, a Latin name meaning good. She was the light of Draco’s eyes and he, more than anyone, was happy to see the end of the Malfoy name when she married; even though she married a muggle-born.
012. Refuge
After learning how her sister had saved Harry’s life, Andromeda sent an owl to Narcissa, offering her a place of refuge if she needed it. Narcissa never replied, but kept the letter with her at all times. After Draco married Astoria, Narcissa left Lucius and went to Andromeda’s house. She stayed for three weeks, but kept to herself. When Draco and his wife returned from their holiday, she went to live with them and never saw her sister again.
013. Paying Respect
When Narcissa died thirty years after the war, Harry accompanied Andromeda to the funeral. They got there late, sat in the very back and left early to avoid making a scene. Five years later, when Andromeda passed, Draco arrived late to her funeral and was unnoticed by everyone except Harry.
014. No
The day they put Hugo on the train to Hogwarts, Hermione told Ron that she wanted to have another baby. And for the first time in their relationship he told her flat out no. She had been offended at first, but once her head had cleared, Hermione thanked him.
015. Lost and Found
Hermione lost her wedding ring once, but didn’t want to admit it to Ron because she was constantly scolding him for leaving his lying around. Whenever he’d ask where her ring was, she’d lie and say that the heat was making her fingers swell so much that she couldn’t wear the ring. After a week of lying, she was forced to come clean to him about losing the ring. Then to her joy, amazement, frustration and a million other emotions, he pulled the ring out of his pocket, set it in her hand, kissed her cheek and walked away. She never scolded him again-at least not for leaving his ring lying around.
016. Roses for Hermione
Though never one to be described as “romantic,” Ron occasionally surprised with Hermione with roses. The first time was during her seventh year at Hogwarts on a day she had an exam. He sent Pig with a letter that when she opened it, revealed a red rose and ‘You did great, Hermione’ written in Ron’s messy handwriting.
017. The Dursleys
Even though the Dursley’s had been horrible to him, Harry took it upon himself to repair their home before he went to fetch them. He told them that Voldemort, the man who was responsible for everything, was dead and they could return to their normal life. For the first and only time in his life, Aunt Petunia gave him a hug. Dudley shook his hand and Uncle Vernon gave him the same surly look he always had.
018. Crookshanks
After what happened with Scabbers, every animal that Ron and Hermione (or one of their family members or close friends) brought into their home was forced to endure the Crookshanks test. When Crookshanks died, Ron was the saddest of the whole family. They got a huge surprise, a few weeks later, when a stray cat, who had been hanging around their house for a few months, had a liter of ginger kittens.
019. Quidditch, Food and Hermione
When Ron proposed to Hermione, he said that he loved quidditch a lot, loved food even more, but loved her so much that he’d give up the other two for her in a heartbeat. Then he asked her to be his wife. She said yes then assured him that she’d never make him give up quidditch or food. That made him even happier than he already was.
