[She is in the kennels. Really, where else would she be. And the smiles and playful jabs are only barely hiding her frustration. She already has a lovely pair of bracelets on at all times. She did not need the hand cuffs too. Isabel would hear about it when she got back.

[And surprise! Hawke is at the kennels now too! Only it's not really a surprise at all, nor is ever present puppy that's following him.]

[There's a soft clink of metal, a snap and a rattle as the pair on Nieta's cuff snaps out toward Hawke's wrist.]

[Hawke tries to pull away but it's not quick enough. The cuff clamps securely around Hawke's wrist. He glares at the chains as if they had planned this all along.]

Well this is just fan-bloody-tastic. They've got a mind of their own.

No, I do not think.

[Not yet conscious of the fact that moving her hand now moves Hawke's too, Nieta pulls the cuff closer and begins inspecting it again, turning it so that it catches the light at every angle.

But whatever she's looking for, she doesn't seem to find it.

She looks up at Hawke.]

... This is not going to be funny.

If this is some kind of bonding experiment I think it's getting a little too personal.

[Hawke's hand jerks as she pulls her hand towards her. He can see that this is going to be loads of fun.]

I think that this means that now I get time off!

So, can you think of ways to use the time?

[Some small part of her mind whines out a warning. She is cuffed to him. She should not joke or flirt if she is cuffed to him. He might take her seriously and then she will not be able to deflect so easily.

Also it is possible he has another friend who will not like this. Nieta does not need enemies.]

Look for the guy who did this and beat a key out of him? If not that, then drink until we forget about the chain?
