[The first thing Hawke feels as he wakes is thousands of tiny legs crawling over him. Wait...he can feel? He's alive? Thank the Maker! Nothing can kill him ( Read more... )

[Her body is limp, but breathing. Where normally Vie might have fought his attempts to carry her and insisted she's fine to walk on her own, this time she makes no attempt. In fact, she doesn't react at all. It's fun being oblivious to the world around you, unable to feel, smell, hear or see anything at all.

Deep down, Vie can feel nothing but terror and hope that Hawke got out alright.]

There's no dying on me do you hear me!?

[No of course she can't Hawke. Shouting at a lump doesn't really help. Unfortunately there's not much else he can do but shout and run faster. He's no healer. All he does is stab things until they stop moving. In a situation like this he's of no use and he hates it but she was there for him and he'll be there for her.]

[Perhaps lucky for both of them, the poison has almost ran it's course Vie's senses start to kick in. She fidgets in his arms and opens her eyes to find herself being carried rather quickly to an unknown location.]

Hawke.

[When he hears her say his name Hawke comes to a dead stop. She's alive! Thank the Maker she's alive! A wide, happy grin spreads across his face.]

Vie!

[If she wasn't in his arms right now he'd hug her.]

[It takes her a moment to get her bearings but when he stops and grins at her, she finds herself grinning back.]

You're alright! I thought you were-- Ah, I can stand...

[Vie can't remember that last time anyone carried her. It's a strange thing to wake up to. The moment he sets her down, Vie will be launching a full hug assault.]

I'm sorry.

Of course! Just thought I would take a bit of a nap.

[Nope he wasn't completely terrified at all. Why would you think that?

And once he sets her damn he happily accepts the hug.]

Sorry? For what?

Not much of a hero am I?

[Denial at being terrified is something they both excel at. Vie won't be admitting it either. At least not out loud. She loosens her grip a fraction but she's not letting go just yet.]

I start carrying you off to get help and end up getting bitten myself.

[She's not too pleased with herself.]

[Neither does Hawke. It feels good to actually feel things again. He won't be taking this for granted anymore.]

I won't tell anyone if you won't.

[Hawke mostly finds himself embarrassed. Darkspawn and dragons fall before him and he almost gets taken out by spider than can fit in the palm of his hand.]

[She laughs at that, only a little but a laugh none the less.]

Your secret is safe with me.

[Vie falls silent and tries not to think too much. This is nice. Contact is nice. It's been way too long since she's willingly hugged anyone. The other thought she's trying to avoid is the one that recognizes Hawke as a real friend. She tried to save him, he'd been rushing to save her.]

The creatures are still around. Do you think the others are okay?

Good, I don't think I'd ever be able to live that one done.

[Hugs are not something Hawke gets often. Pats on the back, shakes of the hand, hands on the shoulder are the norm, but a hug is rare. He might as well enjoy it while he can.]

Oh I'm sure they'll be fine as long as they use some common sense.

[Vie can't not laugh.]

What? You mean like us? I'm not sure how we're alright now, but not long ago we were in quite a bit of trouble.

[Speaking of spiders, the shock ones seem to like Vie. Another falls to land on her shoulder and sinks it's fangs in. She yelps, clinging to Hawke as she jolt runs through her before fumbling to flick the spider away.]

I hate these things!

[Realizing that she's clinging, and has been hugging him a little more than she probably should have been, Vie detaches from the beard man and takes a small step back.]

We should move...

Clearly we're just too heroic to die.

[Hawke can't help but smirk at her when she clings to him.]

But they seem to love you.

[He nods and swats a spider that's slowly making its way up his leather armor.]

Good idea, as fun as that was I'd rather not repeat it.

The feeling is not mutual.

[She kicks a spider on the wall and splatters it into the stonework wall. Satisfied with it's death, Vie dusts herself off and starts down the hall, hand reaching back to idly reach for Hawke and if in range, drag him along.

It's an old action, one she hasn't done in years. Fair warning, Hawke. A man that's in her good books is likely to be the victim of arm holding/clinging. As though realizing she's moved, Vie clenches her fist and brings her hand back to her side.]

There must be somewhere in this Keep that is without the spider infestation.

[Hawke lets himself be dragged along with him. It's not the first time being dragged about. He remembers the days he was younger when Bethany would do the same to him.

When she decides to give him his hand back he steps in beside her.]

There didn't seem to be any in my room, but I don't think I'll be barricading myself in there anytime soon. Hiding from spiders isn't what I would call champion-like behavior.

[It strikes her as odd that he would allow the contact as much as it does that she reached for his hand at all Then again, Vie doesn't know about Bethany and back in the day she'd never been afraid of contact.

Rather than dwell on it, she focuses on the task at hand.]

You'll have to tell me how you got that name. Sometime after we get rid of these spiders.

[Her light steps dodge the spiders on the floor and she takes care to avoid bumping the walls.]

[Hawke's steps aren't so light as he isn't trying to dodge them like her. He just crushes them under his foot as they get in his way.]

I'll try to make it interesting for you.
