Adrian did sign up for nothing else but university! That's a lot of academic dedication for him, who's been through college without necessarily remembering anything, though his intelligence and sensibility are way over average. He just -- didn't care.

Yet he doesn't feel that life at the Mansion is really challenging, as life back home (mostly after meeting Rose) used to be.
So he's awake, and it's early evening. He's slowly descending to the kitchen to have his early shot of whatever he may find.
