There's a rather different type of fellow smirking and observing the scene, perched on the railing, a bit aways from the rest of the party.

It's not that GraveRobber is asocial. It's that he always had a preference for observing rather than participating.

Adrian does notice him, eventually. By this time he's slightly drunk (it does take a lot of time and many bottles to make him fully drunk), and thus very inclined to be friendly to pretty much anyone.

"Care to join us?" he asks, as he's getting closer.

"I stick to the fringe usually," he replies, and yeah, that means no, thank you. "But I'll have a beer if you're offering."

Have a raised eyebrow, GR. Though Adrian nods, and asks: "Do you have any preferences or should I just bring you whatever I get my hand on first?"

"Whatever you have is fine, I'm not picky," he replies, and looks amused.

"Well, the offer is quite broad," Adrian says, spreading his arms. "Pick your poison, then come back to have a chat if you're up for it. I did tell you the first time we met that I find you quite -- intriguing."

GraveRobber smiles, it's a bit wicked. "Since you offer so nicely..." The beer he'd ganked discreetly before he sat away from the crowd re-appears magically in his hand (except not really, he's just good at that sort of thing.)

"Nice skills," Adrian compliments him. "So tell me -- your, er, clothing and all? Are you a Goth? Do you belong to some sort of sect, or -- my imagination can go veeery far, you know."

What? No! GraveRobber frowns. "-- wait, you think I'm --" he laughs. "I'm dressed pretty normally for my homeworld. By my standards, you look like a GeneDweeb, actually."

"A GeneDweeb? What would that be?"

Adrian's voice is mildly interested, suddenly. That, in spite of the alcohol starting to work its way through his blood.

GraveRobber makes a vague hand gesture. "A paper scribbler," he explains. "Not that I meet a lot, mind you."

"Uh-huh." Pretty vague; just like this man. "He'd have a lot to write about you, I'm sure - I, on the contrary, am not such an interesting character."

GraveRobber smirks. "I bet you are. As boring as they come, huh?" That's a small taunt.

Adrian shrugs. "I noticed that speaking about yourself can be dangerous 'round here," he says, a touch of warning in his voice. "You'd better mind that."

GraveRobber chuckles. "I know enough about danger. Don't you mind me."
