When he first met 11-12, Adrian promised him a boys' night out... or a boys' night in.

He still remembers -- albeit in a blur -- the last boys' night in he had; yes, that one. The one with Robin. And Khary. And the Grave Diggers.

So he decides they should go out, for a change. But where? He has no clue that, rather

Khary's late to the party (Khary's always late to the party) and does not come bringing gravediggers. However, he does come bringing a game of Twister that he can only think would be insanely amusing to play while drunk. "Helloooo," he says, with no small amount of enthusiasm. "The party has finally arrived, everyone can celebrate!"

He's a dork when he's half drunk. Or always, but especially half drunk. He had to have his own before coming or he knew he wouldn't fit in.

"Heyyy!" Adrian's more than enthusiastic reply might show his own degree of -- happiness. He's not one to get drunk easily, but tonight he's already dizzy enough to feel very talkative and get very loud, which is far from his usual manner. "You came, buddy!" He gives Khary a thumbs-up. "What are you carrying there?"

"Board games," he says, solemnly. "I broad board games." And mimics the thumbs up, frowns, and gives Adrian a hug.

"Don't be ridiculous, I don't greet friends like that."

Adrian answers the hug in kind, feeling the tickle of laughter on his tongue.

"I don't have as many friends; or I didn't before I came here," he adds dryly. "Board games are fine, I guess. We're not drunk enough for them, though. So what are you drinking?"

"I was drinking something for me," he says, "I brought...stuff. I'm not sure. Things I found in the kitchen?"

Khary beams, as though he's very proud of himself. For some reason.

Adrian laughs this time. "Things. You found. Sounds thrilling. Like the promise of an adventure. Come. Join us. Our mutual friend Robin is also here."

"Ooooh," says Khary, sounding delighted. "Not that I'm surprised, I get the impression he'd never miss a party. And exactly!" He winks, broadly. "It's a surprise. And a surprise from me is not nearly as dangerous as a surprise from the witches, I promise."

"-- the witches. Ahem." Adrian nods, not understanding a word. "Come, Khary. Let's see what we can find you to drink -- er -- drink to find you? And then we can check up your broad -- board -- games."

"I think I'm found," Khary says, with an emphatic nod. "But I dunno about broad games, I don't think I brought any of those." He sounds serious. Probably is. "But this Twister one looks like a lot of fun!"

"Twister?" Adrian feels the need to lean on the railing, a bit shaky under the news. "You brought Twister? You certainly are something," he says, his voice marked by respect.

Khary beams. "I know," he says, proudly. "So I am told. Often and usually loudly and with some minor hysteria, so I kind of appreciate the lack of that from you."

"You're welcome, buddy. Come on. Let's check on Rob, if he's still capable of speaking, that is. We can of course try our chances at twisting and bending later."

Khary blinks a little. "Why wouldn't he be capable of speaking?" He pauses, and then waggles a finger scoldingly. "Have you been doing something to him?"

"Why, of course. I tried to kiss him, you know, but he resisted, so I got carried away and managed to bite his tongue -- poor Rob."

Khary...winces. "Oh, ow. That sounds kind of painful. How do you even manage that? --no, never mind, I think I can imagine."

"Just don't make me show you, buddy," Adrian shakes his head. "One casualty is quite enough at a party. Better have a drink; have two; go mingle. And then we can all play Twit--Twister if it's OK."
