He hasn't been feeling this useless for a long, long time. Perhaps since others were fighting the battles that should have been partly his.
In fact, Adrian feels pretty much a failure on the magical plan right now: no one to teach him more than he's already mastered about healing (which is quite little); no one to understand how he's channeling his magic. Of course, people like Tsuzuki can feel for him, and see what he is, and then there's Tony who might give him hope.
Still, after the Muraki episode, Adrian feels very weak, and he'd like to finally learn if he can or cannot keep using his Spirit wielding to heal.
If a certain blond female kickass presence happens to be on the porch anytime at evening/early night, she'll come across a young man she hasn't met yet. He'll be smoking his signature cigarettes, lost in thought.
