It's been a while since their first talk and their mutual discovery of each other's powers, at least in theory. In the light of recent events (i.e. things going amiss with Muraki), Adrian would absolutely need a kindred spirit to talk to, and perhaps to practice just a bit

Tony's out as well, flipping through a book absently while thinking about his chat with Merlin. There's a small glow around one of his hands to give him light while he reads and he's not really paying attention to his surroundings yet...

Well in this case Adrian will run into him on the porch, just as he was about to snap his fingers and light up a cigarette. "Oh, hi," he says merrily, chewing on his cigarette at the same time.

Tony glances up and grins. "Hey. How's it going?"

Please, don't worry! It happens!

[iwalkindreams]

Finger snap! "Fine. I guess." He exhales. "I had a lot on my mind recently - and not everything was pleasant."

Tony shifts a bit and kicks out a chair for Adrian. "Want to talk about it?"

He nods a silent thanks and sits down, straddling the chair. "--actually, I do. I think you're a very good person to talk to about this specific... issue."

[notgandalf]

Tony marks his place in the book and puts out his light. "Okay then, go for it."

[iwalkindreams]

"Where do I start? Remember how I was telling you I can wield Spirit magic? Well -- there's a friend of mine here who asked for my help. He needed me to create a dream for him, so that he could -- hide."

[notgandalf]

Tony nodded. He wasn't sure he understood the whole thing but ... "So what happened?"

[iwalkindreams]

"Well, another guy happened to us in the dream." His tone thickens - he's quite annoyed at the fact that somehow, that occurred. "He caught hold of me, and threatened me. And then -- apparently he's some sort of vampire as well? But I never heard of energy vampires, have you?"

[notgandalf]

Tony pales suddenly at that. He can't help it, it's automatic, and an image he knows will never leave him flashes through his mind. The baby, that monster...

"Yeah... I have. I've seem them in action."

[iwalkindreams]

"Oh. I see. We don't have them back home. It wasn't the most pleasant experience, as you can imagine. And now I basically have that guy at my heels, lurking somewhere, waiting for another occasion to strike. And the worst thing is that I don't even know what he wants."

[notgandalf]

Tony shrugged, trying to regain some semblance of composure. "Well, he wanted that guy you helped and now that you got into his way, or at least shown yourself to be interesting, he's gonna want you too. It's that simple."

And from Tony's experience, what something like that wants, it thinks it can just have.

Adrian sighs and looks slightly discouraged.

"It's rather idiotical," he says. "I never understood this concept of -- predator, really. That's for Strigoi. We -- we're a peaceful kind. I think."

Unless they're pissed off. "But anyway, I'm sorry for pouring all this at you, it'll be fine. Um. Have you -- thought about what we talked the last time -- about, you know, practicing?"

[notgandalf]

"Where I'm from, you either are a predator, the prey, or a nobody and sometimes, that's the safest thing to be. Keep your head down and don't butt into anything and you'll live. However, you also can't help out anyone else." Tony shrugs a shoulder. "The best way to deal with something like that is to meet it head on, or, if you can't do that, convince it you're bigger and badder or just plain crazier. It's worked for me in the past."

And he had the scars to prove it.

Still, Tony smiles a bit and nods. "Yeah, I remember what you said about practicing. Interested?"

Adrian listens to everything he says with a frown. "You sound like you know what you're talking about from your own experience, so I won't say anything; I just -- I think the borders were more clearly defined there where I come from."

But at the mention of practicing, his face brightens. "I'd like to! If you're up for it, of course."
