Perhaps it's just one of those nights when she can't sleep - she's been thinking about Jasmina a lot, lately. At any rate, Scheherazade might timidly knock, even if the door is open.

She could use some company, and Adrian always cheers her up.

He was just on his way out of the shower so he'll yell, "Just a sec!" and pop up by the door a few minutes later, his hair still damp and his face looking very fresh. Such a lovely 'morning'.

"It's not dirty," she replies, frowning. "It's fake. It's horrible."

He bursts into a hearty laughter. "Well, it was there to begin with, but I can of course remove it if it harms the room's charm."

"You should. It makes you look cheap, and you're not that."

He laughs earnestly. "Thanks. Coming from you, it's really something!" With her permission, he'll crouch by the carpet and roll it off, pushing it to a corner of the room when he's done. "There - does it look any better?"

She looks at the floor, tilts her head. "There's no offensive carpet, but there is also no carpet at all. I'm not quite sure which is worse..."

He laughs. "You're hard to please," he teases. "I declare myself the humble admirer of your taste -- and just ignore the other carpets, rugs, whatever. Tell me how have you been instead."
