Had to stay in the hospital (surgical acute ward) for 6 days and had heavy intravenous antibiotics. Been home 5 days but still getting over it and the other thing that happened yesterday.
Hospitals are hard. Don't want to go back anytime soon. Working on my health is like a fulltime job itself. Seems like many years I took what health I did have for granted. Isn't that always the way? Every day you try to push yourself but respect your limitations so you don't make things worse.
I miss the Bahamas. Mandy was reminiscing about 5 years ago with me. That was the best of times. I'm happy she has her new family now and that I got to see them before the whole hospital thing. Sigh. Going to the beach with other people was nice, too, but weird in post-pandemic world.
I'm vaccinated, but I still use masks when required and sometimes when not required cuz it seems to make others more comfortable. But I don't wear them outdoors at the beach on the sand, in the water or on the boardwalk. That was nice... until that night, when the fever hit and pain started.
I'm just so tired. I walk 35 minutes when I can, but I've got to level up past that once I'm healed. Sigh. At least I'm out and about again.
