I get to go to Spokane!
Ok, so I haven't written in a while, and a posting about me getting to visit the most conservative town in the liberal northwest is pretty random, but I'm excited all the same.
Travis has been expelled from my life, and this makes me incredibly happy. While he did revoke my one chance at escaping this side of the state, Katherine countered with letting me follow her home for a few days. It'll only cost me an extra trip to SEATAC from Bellingham. Inconvenient, but considering how amazing she's been to me (and that she showed me the joys of expelling an asshole from your life) I'm happy to do it.
It's finals week, and I'm procrastinating, as usual. I can't believe Becky and Spam will be married so soon...who would have seen that coming, Silverado folk? I'm very happy for them.
I'll be travelling to Ghana for Christmas this year to do Sociology stuff. How exciting is that? Life is so amazing up here. The northwest is...different. I really miss southern hospitality, but have adjusted to the northwesterner's distant ways. Essentially, don't seek affection from people here unless they offer it up. Very different from hugging strangers I don't even know the name of in Texas. Ah...life.
I graduate a year from now. March of '09. This next quarter will be the last time I ever do spring quarter. Frightening.
I'm done prattling. I know no one reads these, we all do, but sometimes I like to think you guys find them and take solace in the fact that I'm doing well, just as I hope that all of you are doing well.
