I think we average in the 400-500 range each month, and that's for the three adults that live here. We do two big shopping trips a month, and buy in bulk as much as possible. The not eating meat also drops things down, but that's argueable since some of the meat replacement stuff is just as expensive. Limiting the number of "oh crap we forget the ______" trips help cut things down too.
The spotted dog is really quite sweet and is a pretty damn good pup, despite my frustrations with her pup like behaviors at times. She's learning pretty damn fast and has sit under her belt and is starting to understand things like off.
We're still trying to see if she has people already, but it's looking more and more likely that she was dumped. :(
You can come meet her sometime if you want, but be forwarned she will charm your pants off. And she LOVES kids. The neighbors at the end of the block had her for a morning and they have a 6(?) year old and a 2 or 3 year old and they got along famously. The dogling also tries to meet every kid we pass when out walking, it's damn cute.
