Yay! Nick got a promotion. It's so wonderful! I'm so proud of him. He worked at that god awful galley ever since he was ten years old, and he was worried that he wouldn't be able to do anything in the real world, and he didn't think he was good enough. This make three, count them, three pay raises he's gotten at the firm in less than a year. I'm just so proud of him. I'm always happy when other people recognize the same things I recognize. Yeah, that's right. I did just make his promotion all about me. Just call me Buffy..... or Lorelai, either will do.
So, what should I get him for his birthday? Anything he wants, he can just go get himself. So I was thinking it would be cool if I got him an experience. Like a hot air balloon ride over wine country. Or a gourmet sunset dinner cruise around newport beach. Maybe a day trip to catalina island. I don't know. Any ideas?
